From Kiki de Montparnasse to Frida Kahlo, let’s meet some of the most compelling women of the 19th and 20th centuries. A continuation of Art in Context’s Women in Art series, this course will focus on the artists muse and some of the most mesmerizing and fascinating women of the late 19th and 20th centuries. Inspiring artists such as Auguste Rodin, Gustave Klimt, Pablo Picasso, and Henri Matisse, many of our muses were artists themselves. Join us as we will learn about their work as well as their contributions in the works of art that they inspired. Don’t miss a course that features: Victorine Meurant, Emilie Floge, Misia Natanson, Camille Claudel, Kiki de Montparnasse, Susan Vallotton, Gala Dali, Lee Miller, Dora Maar, Francoise Gilot, Lydia Delectorskaya and Frida Kahlo.
