Thursday,  September 28 The Carnegie Museum of History and Art, The Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens and The Frick Pittsburgh

We will begin our tour by visiting the collections and homes of some of the most influential families to live in Pittsburgh during the Gilded Age.  Annalee Andres will lead a tour through Carnegie Museum of Art.  We will also tour the fabulous Phipps Conservatory and Botanical gardens built in 1893 inspired by the Chicago World Fair.  Our day will end at the Frick Family mansion.    

 

Friday, September 29 Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob

We will take a private coach an hour and a half outside of the city of Pittsburgh to tour Frank Lloyd’s Wright’s greatest architectural masterpiece Fallingwater.  We will set the stage by first visiting Kentuck Knob, Wright's middle class Usonian home where we will tour the house and visit the beautiful grounds and have a box lunch.  We will then head to Fallingwater for an afternoon tour where we will compare and contrast the two structures.

Saturday, September 30 Pittsburgh City bus tour and The Warhol Museum                 

On Saturday we will enjoy a double decker bus tour of the city and then visit The Warhol Museum to learn about the city's most famous and notorious artist.

The cost of the tour is $995 per person which includes museum entrance fees, tours, and bus fare.  This price does not include hotel, travel expenses, or food.  I have organized a group rate at historic Omni William Penn Hotel and Resort located at 530 William Penn Pl  of $216 per night. Please plan to arrive in Pittsburg on 9/27 and depart anytime 10/1.
